Accessories

It’s all in the details, and what makes Christina Haire Interior Design so unique is her eye for one-of-a-kind beautiful accessories you won’t find anywhere else. Here, Christina’s top 11 accessories to liven up your space.

Chairs
Yes, chairs can be accessories as well as furniture. I especially like the unusual sizes and styles from the 30s and the 40s.

Flowers
What better way to instantly brighten a room than with a bunch of pink peonies, a striking orchid plant or blooming paper whites?

Mirrors
They enhance every room—and there are so many wonderful styles to choose from, from American water-gilt to painted-white Chippendale.

Candles & Candleholders
Silver plate candelabras, crystal drops, brass, gilt, or just a single fat candle on a beautiful antique china plate…I prefer hand rolled beeswax candles in ivory—and 16 inches tall so they last.

Cake Baskets, Cake Trays & Candy Dishes
A decadent dessert deserves a lavish presentation. I like the English silver plate and sterling from the turn of the century.

Silver Frames
Group them together on a round table. The more the better!

Antique Linens
So romantic. From bed sheets and shams, Victorian tablecloths to oversize napkins—and best of all are the monograms from a long-ago time.

Pillows
You can never have too many, and their possibilities are endless…silks, antique textiles, graphic prints, to name a few. They can change with the seasons too.

Travel Mementos
From the precious antique to the quirky souvenir— what a great way to remember your trip.

Blue & White China
There’s something so crisp and classic about blue and white. From tea cups to tureens, I can never have enough.

Globes & Maps
Channel your wanderlust into antique globes and prints.
